No one knows where Novel begins.

 

No one knows where it ends.

 

In reality, Novel is as much a mystery as human emotion.

 

It is only recorded that from the east came a girl, the great Captain Kiara, called to Novel by the Siren Song of Fifty Thousand Words. She, great captain, receive the first Crystal Pen of many. She settled down there, waiting patiently for something she wasn't sure truly existed outside of the mind.

 

It is not recorded who came first.

 

Pip, Bee, Laci, Blake, Swanna, Z Sapir, and others. One by one, they heard the Song, and one by one they came. And when they all were gathered, those who dared, a great clap of thunder boomed, and with a gust of wind the sky opened.

 

Down into the hands of the great captain fell the Big Book of Fate. From the Book came a voice:

 

You have been chosen, Pen Warriors. Will you fight? Will you write?

 

Though they knew little of each other, these strangers placed their hands on the Book and said "Yes."

 

With a great flash, the Book opened and from it came the Crystal Pens. Before their very eyes Novel bent and shook, building Quill Qorner and everything that lay beyond. Their hearts pounded, filling to the brim with dedication to protect all that was made for them against the evil forces of the Unwritetious Four - Defeatis, ProcrastiKate, Desperia, and their leader, Lord Rite Ars Block. Pens in the air, they chanted the first incantation of many:

 

Scribo Ergo Sum

 

And the Order was born.
